Position Summary:
Under general direction, provides administrative, functional, and operational supervision of a store unit, including all aspects of inventory control, sales and returns analysis, vendor relations, campus relations, cash management, budgets, and all related reporting. Responsible for creation and implementation of marketing activities, promotions, merchandising of product, and community outreach. Supervises and coaches regular, temporary, and student employees. Creates a dynamic atmosphere where team members successfully engage customers and collaboration is the central culture.

ERB Statement:
Temporary and on-call employees working an appointment percentage of 26 (.26 FTE) or greater, per quarter, will be eligible to earn retirement service credits and thus are required to make New Mexico Educational Retirement Board (NMERB) contributions. Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications:
•    Demonstrated success creating new business opportunities and revenue streams.
•    Experience working in a larger organization or university, where diplomacy and professionalism play an essential role.
•    Thorough understanding of the financial aspects of retail: inventory management, terminology and practices, pricing strategies, analytics, benchmarks and metrics.
•    Experience with marketing to include developing promotions, organizing events, merchandise planning and analyzing results.
•    Experience supervising full-time and student employees in multiple departments, including training and performance management where customer engagement, selling and collaboration are key.
•    Experience with vendor/distributor resources and proven success in building winning partnerships.
•    Proficiency in collaborating with internal and external University departments to meet business goals.
•    Demonstrated success with building collaborative and productive teams.
